How to give a cat a pill
Sunday, August 5th, 2007Don’t freak out if you find out you’re going to have to give your cat a pill. After a few tries, it’s really pretty easy. The trick is to wait until your cat is in a mellow mood, and to act quickly. Bribes help, too.
1. Have the pill ready as you distract the cat with food.
2. Gently pry cat’s mouth open with finger.
3. Using one finger, shove pill way back in cat’s throat.
4. Close cat’s mouth and gently rub finger along neck to make sure pill is swallowed.
